I graduated in 2003 at the University of Stellenbosch with a BSc (hons) in Physiotherapy. I became certified in Dry Needling in 2004. After relocating to Canada in 2007, I did my Canadian exams and Canadian Dry Needling certification. I have recently taken an interest in Shockwave therapy, especially after feeling frustrated with not being able to “do more” or achieve more relief with chronic tennis elbow, chronic plantar fasciitis and chronic achilles tendinopathy. This modality is very popular in the UK among sport physiotherapists and there are great double blind randomized controlled studies to back up the use of Shockwave in certain chronic conditions. I have invested in a high end Shockwave machine and am very excited to be offering this in conjunction with my other modalities.
